This Miami Real Estate businessman also calls Orlando his home. Victor Layug, president of Sunshine Realty, Inc. and a veteran of the Real Estate industry had opened his Orlando branch office and moved his South Florida office into its new location in Pembroke Pines recently. "I don't mind the travel," says Vic, "It brings me closer to our community." Involved with community, Vic had been active in charitable work as a two-term president of Philippine Charities Foundation, a Miami-based non-profit organization. He also served as Chairman of its Board of Directors for a term. During histerm at the charitable organization Vic worked hard to fulfill its mission. "One of my top concern was the plight of those who suffered from Tuberculosis. We put a huge effort in fundraising for the benefit of institutions fighting the deadly disease and caring for its victims." The PCF presented a check for $17,000 to then Philippine Secretary of Health Carmencita Riodico towards the benefit of the Quezon Institute. "It gives one a sense of fulfillment knowing that we were able to help," said Vic.

Kaleidoscope is a project of the City of West Palm Beach and its
School Districts in partnering a cultural organization and a local
school in having students create a 'village' representing the
culture of its partner. Kaleidoscope has received international
recognition and awards. "For a worthy cause, I can be counted in any manner I can assist," said Mr. Layug. Today Vic does not mind travelling between his Orlando and Pembroke Pines branch offices. "Its great. I am able to serve my clients and community better, " said Vic. |
